From a standing start making 5 sales a month is hard work, as your store will take time to build its following. If you have an existing following you can link to your store and help its traffic increase. Its all about building up momentum. We find that a lot of the work we do from Jan – Apr or Sep – Oct makes sales in summer and Christmas time.
Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Just keep it fresh and in the open.

How we help to promote your store...
-
Store of the month - Each month one store wins store of the month. This will be featured on our site and promotion for that month. Prize? £50?
-
Sneaks of the week - The best designs from stores will be promoted by us on our facebook, twitter and website.
-
Blog Update - Each new shoe you design is automatically updated in our blog once approved.
-
Store directory - Our customers can browse and search for your store.
-
Discounts – We offer discounts to our customers and your customers. From 5-20% during different promotions, these will help your sales. You still get the commission of the RRP without the discount.
How you promote your store...
Internet traffic is vital for your shop. More traffic = more awareness = more sales.
-
Social Media - Facebook, twitter, MySpace, flickr... the list goes on. The perfect place to have two way communication with your target audience. Post footwear designs, special offers, updates. You can add your store link to many of these sites. Upload pictures of your products and people wearing them. Encourage people visiting your store to share with their networks.
-
Your blog or website - Link your store to your blog or website. On your Mes Footwork store you can link back to your page. Existing customers of yours who like what you do, will want to buy from you.
-
Groups and Forums - Create and join groups where you can announce product updates, promotions and tell stories. These groups should associate with your niche. Avoid spamming and over posting, this doesn’t help.
-
NEW - Flyers – Once you’ve sold 20 pairs of trainers, we will have 1000 flyers designed, printed and posted to you to help you promote your shop. Or you can take £15 cash. We suggest the flyers, they’re worth £70 and will make you £15 back very quickly.

Store activities...
-
Optimise your text - Search Engine Optimisation, or SEO for short, is making your site readable by search engines to improve your site’s ranking. This will then increase the amount and the quality of the visitors to your shop.
-
Add product descriptions Product descriptions are very important - not only for the search engines to find your shop, but also for the people who want to buy your products.
-
Keep your range fresh - We suggest trialling each design for 30 - 60 days. If they are a good seller, keep them, if not, remove them and design something new.
